P-51 Mustang .60 ARF with Retracts Ref: HAN2375
Hangar 9’s P-51D is unlike most other Mustangs available. Built as a .60 sized airframe rather than a .40. allows the full size proportions to be better and more accurately replicated since the extra large size of the airframe doesn’t suffer the scaling issues experienced by smaller .40 size models.
Assembly time to complete the model is around twenty hours. Retracts are already installed in the wings, only the addition of the retract servo is necessary. Aileron servos mount in pre-cut servo bays in the wings and the rudder and elevator take direct servo linkages with corresponding pre-cut servo mounts in the tail. Positioning the servos right next to their corresponding control surfaces makes setting up throws and checking and maintaining links much easier.

P47 Thunderbolt 1.50 ARTF with Retracts DISCONTINUED Ref: HAN2700
The “Razorback” P-47 Thunderbolt is one of the biggest scale models form Hangar 9.
This mighty “Jug” is a fantastic rendition of a Thunderbolt flown by Captain Herschel H Green of the 325TH F.G,15th Air Force USAAF during World War Two; the famous “Checkertail Clan”
He was appointed Army Aviation Cadet in 1941, obtaining his wings at Foster Field in Texas, he flew P40, P51 and P47 fighters, eventually becoming a leading ace of that era with 18 confirmed enemy aircraft shot down.
This great model comes ready covered in an authentic world war two colour scheme, using UltraCote®, with the “checker board” tail already done for you. It has a huge pre painted fibre glass cowling, working flaps and all metal retracts engineered especially for the P.47 with working oleo struts. A complete hardware pack, and all the detailed scale accessories, (under wing bomb pylons, bombs, dummy engine, machine guns, and a centre wing drop tank)are included to complete this great model.
For ease of access to the radio equipment and fuel tank the forward section of the top fuselage is removable for maintenance etc and all the servos are mounted close to the control surfaces to minimise slop giving more precise control. The unique design of the “Ultra Tract” retracts allow a low profile retract servo to be mounted direct to the retract frame for easy adjustment and more reliable operation.

This fully built up model is constructed from CNC machined plywood and balsa wood parts which results in a rugged lightweight model. The Twist 3D 40 ARF from Hangar 9® is the most fun you can have at the flying field without getting arrested. For instance, the light wing loading and oversized control surfaces allow for incredible 3D maneuvers. From hovers to harriers, knife-edge loops to climbing flat spins, the Twist can handle just about any aerobatic maneuver thrown its direction. Using a Saito™ .72, the Twist can run tight ten-foot loops and—unlike some fun-fly planes—full-throttle high-speed runs. It’ll hover and torque-roll down to head high.
